The Ballad of the Nightingale and the Serpent (original title: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) was presented, surprisingly, to the CinemaCon of Las Vegas from Lionsgate which not only announced an official release date for the expected project, but also released a teaser trailer.
The film is inspired by the best-seller of the same name by Suzanne Collins who conceived the dystopian universe of Hunger Gamesthe saga that launched the career of Jennifer Lawrence. The story is presented as a prequel to the trilogy and is scripted, as well as by Collins herself, by Michael Arndt And Michael Lesslie.
