For those who missed it, GCN has a short summary. The 7th stage went from Diamante to Potenza. In the almost 200 km there were more than 4000 altimeters and then you already know that something is about to happen. The first 10 kilometers were still flat and then it started to go up and down until the finish. There has been an attack from the start of the stage. Riders like Poels, van der Poel, Carapaz but also Formolo did their best to get away. At that time, 130 km still had to be raced.
So a lot of action and that actually continued until the finish where Bouwman, Dumoulin, Mollema and Formolo were evenly matched in the final. Bouwman was the fastest on the finish line and took the victory. What a match. Reminisce for a while.
