Marc Marquez was injured in the last race of Valentino Rossi: “If I would have participated in the celebrations? Of course”
Valentino Rossi’s lap of honor was one of the most exciting moments of the Doctor’s last race in Valencia. On the occasion, the pilot from Tavullia was celebrated by all the centaurs, who stopped at the first variant to escort him and hug him. Marc Marquez was missing from the appeal, absent that weekend due to diplopia: in an interview with Dazn, the Catalan champion assures that he would have participated in the event if he had been present. “Obviously I would have participated, one thing does not exclude the other. You can part with a person for good or bad, but this does not cancel what he has done, for his own merits”.
“When I was a child I had posters of two riders, Rossi’s and Dani Pedrosa’s. The admiration for him is for everything he has done for motorcycling, not just for his titles: he is the rider who thrilled the public more than any other. On the track, he taught us so much I have already said it and I am not ashamed to say it again “.
