At the age of 32, Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made an important decision in his career. Aubameyang said he was retiring from the Gabon national team without giving a reason.
“After 13 years of being proud to represent my country, I announce that I am ending my international career,” Aubameyang said as quoted by Football-Espana.

Aubameyang has played for the Gabon national team since 2009 when he was still playing at Dijon and Lille on loan at AC Milan. He has 72 caps and 30 goals. It is believed Aubameyang decided to retire in order to focus on playing with the club.
