Compared to the lithium titanium oxide (LTO) anode batteries manufactured by Toshiba, the niobium titanium oxide (NTO) units boast an energy capacity three times higher and reduce the charging intervals to 10 minutes. Once available, these batteries will be tested by Horwin on a prototype based on the CR6 model present in its range.
The current CR6 is equipped with a 6.2 kW (8.3 horsepower) engine and has a range of around 150 km on a single charge. The company expects that equipping the vehicle with NTO batteries, these values will increase significantly.
