The video game industry in its administrative part is supported by the hard work of those in charge of public relations because they are the contact between publishers, studios, media, everything. In general, being part of it requires in-depth knowledge of video games, at least of its most important franchises, both historical and contemporary, but sometimes there are times when inexperience plays a trick, as in the case of a PR that defined the new name of Kratos, protagonist of God of War.

Today, the official accounts of PlayStation in the United Kingdom and SIE Santa Monica, found a detail that they did not even know existed around the iconic character of God of War. This after Keza MacDonald, a video game editor at The Guardian shared part of the mail that was sent to him by a PR person in which he referred to the protagonist of God of War like John Kratos. That’s right, for some reason, this worker seemed not to know the character who wiped out all of Olympus and now does the same with the Norse gods, so he thought maybe Kratos was his last name and John was his name.

The error became a joke as both PlayStation and Santa Monica noted that from now on, God of War will tell the story of a certain John Kratos. Obviously, the response from the fans was immediate and some played with the possibility that there is a universe in which John-117, Master Chief of Halo with John Kratos from God of War.
