In a day with several launches, Acer presented its new OLED Swift 3 notebook, in addition to the 2-in-1 Acer Spin 5 and Acer Spin 3 notebooks, all with Windows 11 and 12th Gen Intel Core processors.
OLED Swift 3
The most advanced of Acer’s new notebooks is the Swift 3 OLED (SF314-71), a device that features a 12th generation Intel Core H-series processor and an Intel Iris Xe GPU. It also has a PCIe Gen4 SSD and can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM (LPDDR5).
It is an Intel Evo notebook, so it can be turned on instantly, and has a battery life of 10 hours of use. In addition, only 30 minutes in the socket is enough for another 4 hours of use, according to information from Acer.
The 14-inch OLED screen has a resolution of 2.8K (WQXGA+). With a 16:10 aspect ratio, the screen occupies 92% of the front of the notebook. The OLED Swift 3 supports 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. At 17.9 mm thick and weighing 1.4 kg, the notebook has an aluminum case.
The webcam has Full HD resolution and uses TNR (Temporal Noise Reduction) technology. Another interesting detail is that the OceanGlass touchpad is made with plastic waste taken from the ocean. It also has Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and a backlit keyboard.
Acer Spin 5
The Acer Spin 5 (SP514-51N) is very thin and light, with a thickness of 16.9 mm and a weight of 1.3 kg. The 14-inch screen is touch-sensitive, and also has a 16:10 aspect ratio, but with WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels) and occupies 88% of the front.
Inside it has a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with up to 16GB Intel Iris Xe GPU (LPDDR5) and up to 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. In addition, it is also an Intel Evo notebook, meaning it has a great battery life. Living up to its name, the Acer Spin 5’s screen rotates 360 degrees, so it can be used in laptop, stand, tent, or tablet modes.
The notebook also features the TwinAir cooling system with Vortex Flow architecture, with up to 75% higher performance. It comes with an Acer Active Stylus rechargeable stylus with Wacom AES 2.0 technology and 4,096 pressure levels.
In addition, it has DTS sound and Acer PurifedVoice technology with AI noise reduction, which promises to improve audio in video calls.
Acer Spin 3
And finally we come to the Acer Spin 3 (SP314-55/N), which also has a 14-inch touchscreen with Full HD resolution and comes with the Acer Active Stylus stylus. Like the Spin 5, this notebook’s screen rotates 360 degrees, so it can be used in a variety of ways.
Inside, the notebook also has a 12th generation Intel Core processor and Intel Iris Xe GPU, in addition to a PCIe SSD. The camera has HD resolution and like the OLED Swift 3, it has TNR technology. It also has the Acer PurifedVoice feature to improve the sound of your voice in video calls.
Acer has yet to confirm pricing and release dates for the OLED Swift 3, Spin 5 and Spin 3 notebook.
