Erling Haaland’s arrival to Manchester City will certainly heat up the competition with Liverpool next season. Former Tottenham Hotspur player, Jamie O’Hara, thinks Liverpool should bring in elite class players as well as a response to Haaland’s transfer.
Like this season, next season the possibility of top-tier competition to win the Premier League title will not be far from Liverpool and Man City. The Citizens showed their seriousness by signing Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, while Liverpool have so far shown no signs of signing a big name.
“I think they (Liverpool) have to react because Man City have bought Haaland. It was the final puzzle piece for City,” O’Hara said as quoted by TalkSport.
“This season they have played almost without a striker. You could say they won the league without a striker at all.”
“When you bring Haaland, for me he is a superstar figure in the Premier League later. Liverpool must react and buy players of the same caliber as him. Because if they don’t, they will be left behind,” he explained.
