The incentives for those who buy a new motorcycle or a new scooter or moped are starting today. After a long wait, which began on February 18, the day of the announcement of the new Ecobonus campaign by Prime Minister Mario Draghi, the decree that gives the green light to incentives on the purchase of new low-emission motorcycles and scooters (but also auto) will be published today (May 16) in the Official Gazette and will be immediately operational. Dealers will then be able to access the booking platform of the Ministry of Economic Development, managed by the in-house company Invitalia, starting from Wednesday 25 May on the basis of sales contracts entered into, however, as of today.
Two types of incentives will be available for motorcycles and scooters: one, more conspicuous, for electric vehicles, and one for endothermic ones. For those who buy electric and hybrid motorcycles or scooters (categories L1e, L2e, L3e, L4e, L5e, L6e, L7) the incentives reach a maximum of 30% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of 3,000 euros. The discount rises to 40%, with a ceiling of 4,000 euros, for those who scrap a two-wheeler from Euro 0 to Euro 3. However, the incentives also interest those who decide to buy a moped or a motorcycle powered by an internal combustion engine. Euro 5 approved (categories L1e, L2e, L3e, L4e, L5e, L6e, L7). In this case, a contribution that can reach 40% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of 2,500 euros with scrapping, is foreseen against a 5% discount from the seller.
