The shooting was broadcast on Twitch
The person responsible for the shooting is Payton S. Gendron, an 18-year-old who, according to the report, was wearing tactical-grade clothing and carrying a high-caliber rifle, as well as a helmet camera to record and broadcast the crime live. It was later confirmed that the person responsible did it on Twitch and netizens identified his username on the platform. His account was suspended after the news broke.
According to the Buffalo police commissioner, the subject arrived from an area far from the crime scene and opened fire in the parking lot and continued inside the establishment. When the police arrived at the scene, the subject turned himself in and it is known that he faces first-degree murder charges. In accordance with Buffalo NewsOf the 13 victims, 11 were black. The police, therefore, presume that it was a hate crime.

The Buffalo shooting would have been planned on Discord
A short time later it was discovered that, in effect, the user had planned this crime as an act of hatred against the black race, since he considered himself a white supremacist who learned to radicalize himself on sites like 4Chan. In the 180-page manifesto he published he not only mentioned that the white race was dying, but also laid out instructions to carry out the shootout via Discord on a private server.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and their families, and will do everything we can to assist law enforcement in the investigation,” Discord told my box.
For its part, Twitch contacted The New York Times (via my box) and recalled that it has a “zero violence” policy and lamented the facts: “We are devastated to hear about the shooting that took place this afternoon in Buffalo, New York.
