Liverpool won an important victory and locked the FA Cup title after overcoming the resistance of one of their strongest competitors, Chelsea in the final which took place at Wembley Stadium, Saturday (14/5).
Playing a goalless draw in normal time and extra time meant that the winner had to be determined by penalty shootout. Although Sadio Mane’s shot was saved by Edouard Mendy, the Reds still came out victorious with a score of 6-5 after Cesar Azpilicueta and Mason Mount failed to carry out their duties.
Unfortunately, Liverpool’s victory also had to be colored by the injuries of two key players, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. As is known, Salah only appeared for 30 minutes before being replaced by Diogo Jota, while Van Dijk was replaced by Joel Matip in the 91st minute.
Jürgen Klopp is confident that neither Mohamed Salah or Virgil van Dijk sustained serious injuries during the #EmiratesFACup final.

Not wanting to make fans worried, Jurgen Klopp immediately gave news about the condition of Salah and Van Dijk, according to him, the injuries to the two players above were not too serious.
“I think the injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah are not too serious, both of them are in good condition. But I have to be honest, they certainly won’t be available in the next game against Southampton on Tuesday (Wednesday WIB), Klopp said as reported by ESPN.
“I think they are in good shape, the decision to take both of them off was a precautionary measure. Mo felt something, actually he wanted to play but I forbade him,” he added.
It is worth waiting for the recovery process for Van Dijk and Mo Salah’s injuries, considering that they still have another important match, namely the Champions League final against Real Madrid, 29 May.
