Robert Lewandowski has broken his silence and confirmed that the 2-2 draw at VfL Wolfsburg could have been his last game for Bayern.
Before the game with the Wolves, Bayern’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic officially confirmed what had been going around in the media for several days: Robert Lewandowski would like to leave the club!
“I spoke to Lewa. During the conversation he told me that he did not want to accept our offer to extend his contract and that he would like to leave the club,” said Brazzo, who also wanted to point out that the Scorer is still under contract in Munich until 2023.
The Bayern bosses are still of the opinion that Lewy will not be sold in the summer – although FC Barcelona is said to have paid up to 40 million euros for the attacker.
Lewandowski himself had kept silent so far, but after the last game of the season he spoke up for the first time. “It’s quite possible that this was my last game in Bayern colors,” confirmed the 33-year-old Viaplay. “I can’t say for sure, but it’s possible it was. We want to find the best solution for me and the club.”
What would be the best solution for him is obvious: an immediate clearance for a transfer to FC Barcelona…
