Liverpool FC meet Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final on Saturday evening (from 5.45 p.m.). The Reds have to do without midfield sweeper Fabinho. After all, coach Jürgen Klopp gave hope for a Brazilian comeback in the Champions League final.
The Reds announced on Thursday night that Fabinho picked up a muscle injury against Aston Villa on Wednesday. The Reds did not provide any further information. It has only been confirmed that he will miss the cup final against Chelsea.
“There’s a good chance he’ll come back, whenever – not at the weekend, but whenever,” said LFC coach Jürgen Klopp.
Previously, the fitness coach of the Brazilian national team made a similar statement: “We don’t have all the information, but we are optimistic that he will make the Champions League final,” said Fabio Mahseredjian (via redmenfamily.de).
Liverpool still face Southampton FC and Wolves in the Premier League. On May 28th, the final will rise to the handle pot. A fit Fabinho would be extremely important as a defensive anchor for the Reds.
