
SEUL, 13 MAY – North Korea has made it known that over 187,000 people have been “isolated and treated” for fever, after the country reported its first cases of Covid-19 and confirmed at least one death linked to the epidemic. “At the moment up to 187,800 people have been isolated and treated,” reported the state agency KCNA, adding that six people died of fever, one of whom tested positive for the Omicron variant. “A fever whose cause cannot be identified has spread explosively nationwide since the end of April,” the report said.
