It was precisely the fight against the disease that strengthened the bond with the designer sister Elisabetta Franchi. She said:
I still remember it! After her I said: ‘Betty go, you have other things to do, I’m fine!’ She had to organize her first fashion show in Milan. And she started laughing, because I was full of tubes and she seemed to be far from well. We are like that, strong and determined. In this we are very similar.
About four years ago, Catia Franchi’s ex-husband died and, despite her separation from him, the lady stayed with him until the end.
