Liverpool successfully won a ticket in the Champions League final this season after beating Villarreal in the semifinals. In the second leg which was held at the Estadio de la Ceramica, Liverpool managed to win 3-2.
Former Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, was amazed by the appearance of Liverpool who managed to make a comeback in the match. According to him, two Reds players, namely Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, appeared like monsters in the second leg.
In that match the Yellow Submarine did surprise Liverpool by winning 2-0 in the first half. However, in the second half Liverpool managed to turn things around 3-2 through goals from Fabinho, Luis Diaz, and Sadio Mane.

“Look at Salah and Sadio (Mane), who also played in the Africa Cup of Nations final. What they did after coming back from the tournament was incredible. They are like monsters,” said Wenger as quoted by Goal.
“In Europe maybe the players will protest because they played a lot of games. Tonight, Mane was fantastic throughout the game,” he concluded.
