
NEW YORK, 04 MAY – The Fed raises interest rates by half a percentage point, bringing the cost of money to a range between 0.75% and 1%. For the Fed, this is the first half-point hike since 2000 and the first time since 2006 that it has raised rates in two consecutive meetings.
