Frantic hours to solve the problem of the Third Green of San Siro, also sold to the Rossoneri fans. La Curva Sud: “The guest sector is sacred”
The risk is that in that slice of the stadium – or the Third Green Ring – the fans of both teams will find themselves in some way mixed up. And, historically, the supporters of Milan and Florence are not exactly friends, even if the sparks of a few years ago (in 2013, for example, at the Franchi there was a turmoil involving Galliani and his bodyguard) maybe no more. .
“Respect”
–
Yet somehow it will be necessary to deal with a delicate situation, which has seen the Rossoneri fans also sell tickets usually for the exclusive use and consumption of the host fans. Third Green, in fact, with a sale without limitations, due to the fact that the Observatory had cataloged the match among those without restrictions, or without specific precautions in the management of ticketing. The matter, in addition to being topical on the web, was also raised publicly in the last few hours by Joe Barone, Fiorentina CEO: “Wednesday evening I spoke to Paolo Scaroni, I told him that I am very angry about this situation. We were not respected. Milan is aware that we are very angry about this situation, let’s see if there will be more openings between now and Sunday ”.
Solution
–
A delicate situation, we said, also because potentially not very comforting news in terms of public order arrives from Florence: in fact, about 500 Viola fans without tickets would be ready to leave from Florence, with all the risks involved. In these hours, operational meetings are taking place at the level of clubs and institutions – therefore the Police Headquarters and the Ministry of the Interior -, while the Rossoneri club underlines that the ticket sales process was clear and respectful of the rules, based on a series of communications exchanged with Fiorentina and the police through a dialogue that is defined as constant. What is the solution? The stadium will be sold out on Sunday in every order of seats, so the really feasible and practicable one would seem to be a fragmentation of the Third Green: on the one hand the Rossoneri fans, on the other the Viola fans.
The voice of the Curva
–
The Curva Sud, the heart of the Rossoneri supporters, also took a stand on the matter and signed a statement together with the Milan Club Association: “The management of the sales of the guest sector for Milan-Fiorentina is only the latest in a series of episodes that this season have seen stadiums where guest tickets have been sold / bought by home fans. We therefore ask AC Milan, which has always been attentive and sensitive to the legitimate needs of the fans, to act as spokespersons for all the clubs for away matches, bringing the issue to the table of the observatory and at the same time finding an immediate solution to remedy the situation. this unpleasant situation in view of Sunday, because we want to say it clearly and firmly: for us the away sector is sacred and it is fundamental in every stadium. For us it is unthinkable not to have a sector from which to support our AC Milan away. A stadium without the guest sector, without rival supporters or without us as hosted supporters, is the furthest and most inconceivable thing from our idea of stadium and football “.
