If we talk about air combat in video games and in the movies, there are 2 historical references. In the first case Ace Combat, a Namco franchise and project Aces that has been around for decades. In a second Top Gun, film franchise that was brought to the top thanks to the performance of Tom Cruise. As strange as it may seem, given that the era of glory of both is over, in a few weeks they will join forces to celebrate the premiere of the new film.

Ace Combat y Top Gun will join forces
Through a post on the official Project Aces account, the Japanese team revealed that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will receive DLC inspired by the film’s premiere Top Gun: Maverick, which will be released on May 25. Although there are no details about this additional content yet, it is expected that one or more of the fighter planes shown in the film will be included, remembering that most of the DLC of the Bandai Namco game have been of this type.
