Hyundai has a completely new generation of the Kona in the development rooms. That new Hyundai Kona will replace the currently about five-year-old current model next year. Everything is different from the outside, but on a technical level, Hyundai seems to remain faithful to the well-known Kona recipe.
Just like sister brand Kia, Hyundai comes with a whole range of dedicated EVs, electric cars that are basically developed as such. Kia classifies these cars under the simply ‘EV’ label, at Hyundai they are added to the Ioniq family. The arrival and further expansion of these models, which are only available as EV, does not mean that Hyundai will no longer come up with cars that have both combustion engines and electric powertrains.
