Tim Gajser leaves
THEn Latvia there is only one ruler: it is Tim Gajser. The Honda rider dominated and won both heats, attacking at the right moment.
In race 1 the performance of Alberto Forato (Gas Gas), fourth place, his best result ever, is worth mentioning. Second in both heats the home idol and MX2 world champion in 2017, Pauls Jonass.
Gajser is increasingly the leader of the standings, also in light of the poor performances of Jorge Prado in Latvia (twelfth overall). Gajser has 286 points against Prado’s 220 and Maxime Renaux’s 215. Forato is ninth, Jonass tenth.
MX2: Geerts recovers on Vialle
THEn MX2 saw another domain. On the Latvian weekend Jago Geerts has caught up the race for the championship. Now he and Tom Vialle have 244 points.
They are followed, ironically, by three other drivers all at 181: Laengenfelder, de Wolf and Haarup. The first Italian is Guadagnini, seventh with 161 points.
