It is not ruled out that it could be part of future DLC.
It is not the first time that an Elden Ring player has gained access to the secret coliseum that is hidden in one of the locations of the game, at least through walls with the camera, but now, a modder has managed to go further and explore the place in depth. This new area of the game, which could point to a DLC, would have two new bosses.
According to the modder Sekiro Dubi, this inaccessible area of Elden Ring has a Grace Site near the entrance, which would indicate that at some point in the game’s development, this area was accessible and could be explored (via VGC). In the current version of the game, this Place of Grace is listed as “?PlaceName?”, but thanks to last year’s network tech test leaks, Dubi claims her name would be “Leyndell Colosseum” in this specific case. There would be more coliseums apart from the one shown in the video.
Finally, Dubi points out that this area has two unfinished enemies: “Gladiator Large” and “Old Lion of the Arena”. Within the lore of the game, this coliseum would be a place where warriors were put to the test to fight against monsters, suggests the modder.
DLC the Elden Ring
At the moment it is unknown if these coliseums will have any function in possible Elden Ring DLC or, on the contrary, it is simply content cut from the final game that will not have any type of use beyond its aesthetic value for the Midlands, it would not be the only material discarded. This modder points out that, to see the colosseum in its “splendour” you would have to “travel to the past”as a clear nod to Dark Souls 1. At the moment there is no confirmed DLC for Elden Ring, much less a possible plot, we will have to keep waiting.
