Regarding the Army’s acquisition of 35,000 Viagra pills and 60 penile prostheses, it is very natural, and even fair, that the press asks very tough questions.
The Ministry of Defense justified the purchase by saying that the pills were intended for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. The problem is that some doctors have said that this disease is predominantly female, and moreover requires a lower dosage than that acquired by the Army.
If it is confirmed that it is a lie, we could be facing a clinical event of historic importance, in which Viagra made the nose grow. It deserved in-depth scientific study.
Perhaps there was a problem at the Pfizer plant and this shipment of pills is finding it difficult to focus on the right appendix.
One thing no one doubts: the medicine really works. Apparently, it has already managed to swell the price. The Court of Auditors opened a case to investigate an overbilling of 143%.
Unfortunately, however, the Army communiqué had a serious flaw. When we all expected a circumspect message, without any lewd innuendo, the communiqué ended with the Army’s motto, “strong arm, friendly hand,” which in this context does seem like a satisfied reference to sexual self-gratification.
I must say that, in principle, I am not against the fact that the Army spent R$ 3.5 million on 60 penile prostheses.
It is fatal that the blood that spills over the country will later be needed in the cavernous bodies of the penis.
Furthermore, I would not rule out the hypothesis that investing in penile prostheses is a military defense strategy. A preemptive arms race.
At a time when the nuclear threat hangs over the world, the Army will have remembered the famous words of Albert Einstein: “I don’t know what weapons will be used in the Third World War, but the Fourth World War will be fought with sticks and stones “.
The Brazilian military anticipated this eventuality. Sticks they already have.
