According to Joseph Tao, AMD’s memory enablement manager, it’s looking to take full advantage of the latest type of RAM alongside Raphael, the company’s codename for next-gen AMD Ryzen.
“Our first DDR5 gaming rig is our Raphael and one of the cool things about Raphael is that we’re really going to try to make a splash with overclocking. I’ll leave it at that, but speeds that maybe you thought couldn’t be possible will be possible thanks to this spec,” Tao said.

Something that for now can only be read as promises and that we will only know if they become a reality with the arrival of AMD Zen 4.
