No longer cutting back on the necessary management and maintenance of local roads, working on a charging infrastructure for EVs and spreading mobility during rush hour. These are some of the ideas that the Mobility Alliance, a partnership of 25 parties, presents to the forty largest municipalities in the Netherlands in a nine-point plan. The target? ‘Accessible, safe and liveable municipalities for everyone’.
With these nine points, the alliance, which includes the ANWB, Bovag, KNAC and NS, aims to provide local parties with tools for a ‘smart approach’ in the field of mobility. The timing is not entirely coincidental: after the municipal elections, the municipalities are busy forming councils, in which these points can possibly be included.
