Trade unions FNV and CNV are skeptical about the intention of employers to increase the kilometer allowance for their employees as soon as the government increases the maximum tax-free allowance.
Employers’ association AWVN reported earlier today on the basis of its own research that a large majority of employers are willing to pay a higher kilometer allowance. They say they are concerned about the consequences of the increased costs of driving for their staff. CNV and FNV do not yet recognize this picture. “We are not yet seeing the willingness that AWVN is talking about,” says CNV chairman Piet Fortuin.
