Blizzard recently introduced a new diamond card (Drek’Thar) in Hearthstone, which costs 3,000 gold or $25 real dollars, so it has generated quite a bit of controversy and has caused talk within the game community.

As many players who know this free card title will know, Blizzard usually releases new diamond cards which can be obtained by buying or collecting all the legendary cards in a set, not how this one sells itself at that price and is also just an aesthetic item that does not add anything else to the game where it is used.

As compiled by the PC Gamer site, there are many players who have shown their annoyance around the price of the card, such as ZeddyHSwho is a Hearthstone beta tester.

Other player feedback was also collected, spread across various places like the Hearthstone subreddit.
“Holy crap. $25 for a single diamond card,” says user oneseventwo.
“I’d pay $2 or $3 for that,” offered uballer2
“No thanks. You can keep it. I’m not going to reward greed with my hard earned money,” said RXD_Titan
“This single card is half the cost of Elden Ring. This is disgusting and I don’t like it,” EwokNuggets noted.
Although as always, there are those who support (or are not interested in) the value of the card, such as the user WickerBasement. who opines that “I don’t understand the hate. It’s a free game that charges for a skin on a card they gave you for free, and you can get it using in-game currency.”
