The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Tuesday confirmed that the Blue Tigers upcoming friendlies against Blue Tigers’ friendlies against Belarus and Bahrain will not be telecasted in India owing to “lack of support” and “technical feasibility”.
The India national team are scheduled to face Bahrain and Belarus on March 23 and March 26 respectively in Bahrain, with the two friendlies a part of their preparation for the upcoming 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers to be held in June this year.
“Despite our best efforts in working with the Bahrain FA to live telecast and stream the International friendlies against Bahrain and Belarus, owing to lack of support and subsequent technical feasibility, it won’t be possible to telecast the matches in India,” AIFF said in a statement.
