An Asian branch of XFX graphics cards has lost a shipment of almost 6 thousand graphics cards that have been confiscated by Chinese customs. According to several reports, the reason would have been the illegal labeling of said products, which were presumably being reported by others of lower ranges for reduce tax costs.

Specifically, they are 5,840 graphics cards confiscated, assessed in total for a total of more than 20 million yuan ($3.15 million). According to the Chinese authorities, the specifications of the GPU packaging did not match what was actually contained, so it is to be assumed that were declared for a lower value.

Although the country’s authorities have not defined whether or not the manufacturing branch of the graphics is involved, XFX’s Chinese website has been down for several days. Added to this is that they have also closed their store for wholesale on the T-Mall site.
The company has already been accused of other irregularities in the past. As reported by the MyDrivers site, XFX would have sold its stock of graphics directly to miners, leaving gamers without their precious and necessary hardware.
