Karim Benzema seems to have known before the second leg that Real Madrid would still prevail against PSG. In the chat with rapper Niska, the real captain took his mouth full – and kept his word!
Karim Benzema’s fifth hat-trick in the Champions League propelled Real Madrid into the Champions League quarter-finals. The Real captain equalized PSG’s 2-0 advantage on aggregate with a flawless hat-trick. The 34-year-old only needed 17 minutes for it. After the restart, there was only a hand-timed ten seconds between goal two and three.
The royals have written their own “Remontada” based on the legendary catch-up race of arch-rivals FC Barcelona – and again it hit the star ensemble from Paris.
Benzema himself apparently saw the “resurrection” coming before the second leg. Rapper Niska published a snippet of a WhatsApp chat with Benzema on his Instagram story. In it, the striker announced the comeback ahead of the game:
“They won’t succeed at all. They’ll wet their pants! That’ll be my story!”
And what must say? And that’s the way it was! King Benzema and his entourage ruled the Santiago Bernabeu and sent PSG to the valley of Champions League tears – again!
