Unfortunately, it was to be expected: Hamburger SV has applied for the game against Erzgebirge Aue to be rescheduled.
On Thursday morning it became known that several HSV professionals and staff members had complained of being unwell and having cold symptoms. As a first precaution, the Rothosen postponed the originally scheduled training session and also carried out corona tests.
The result: “A large part of the squad and staff has contracted the corona virus,” as HSV officially announced at noon. “A large number” of players are therefore not available for gaming.
The club then applied for a game transfer against Erzgebirge Aue. The game is scheduled for Saturday afternoon (1:30 p.m.). “Unfortunately, we would not be able to play in the current situation and have canceled the training sessions scheduled for today,” explained HSV board member Jonas Boldt.
