The Batman, the most recent movie of the DC Comics superhero, is about to hit theaters around the world. As usual, the protagonists attended multiple interviews as part of the marketing tour. Although the objective of these talks is to talk about various topics related to the feature film, on some occasions they take a 180-degree turn and allow us to learn more about the tastes of the actors.
That was exactly what happened in a recent interview in which Robert Pattinson, the actor who will bring Batman to life on the big screen, spoke at length about Final Fantasy VII. The talk, specifically, delved into the love triangle in which Aerith and Tifa participate.

Aerith or Tifa? Robert Pattinson can’t decide
Robert Pattinson participated in an interview on the French program Clique in the company of his cast partner Zoe Kravitz, who plays Catwoman in The Batman. The talk turned to the topic of video games when the actor and the interviewer Mouloud Achour expressed their passion for Final Fantasy VII.
“I was in love with Aerith and Tifa. Everyone wants to have both. It’s the 2 sides, it’s the 2 options of girls that you can have, “said the British actor.

Right after, Pattinson tried to explain to Zoe Kravitz what he was talking about. “It is the best. It’s a love triangle where Aeris or Aerith, depending on which version of the game you have, is like this really nice girl who has the superpower to heal everyone and make the world a better place (…) And then Tifa is this sexy little thing who’s a thief and wears a miniskirt and you’re like, ‘I can’t decide!’”

Later, the actor from The Batman remembers Aerith’s death with euphoria and points out that it is at that moment that “all men discover what love is”. We must remember that, in 2020, he confessed in another interview that she cried in that section of the video game.
Of course, Robert Pattinson’s curious talk about Final Fantasy VII was teased by the actress who plays Catwoman in The Batman.
