The electric Opel Astra will be called Astra-e, its Peugeot equivalent will be known as e-308. Peugeot has already hinted what technology will be under the hood: a 54 kWh battery and a 156 hp electric motor. The range of the e-308 – and therefore also the Astra-e – will be just above 400 kilometers.
Specs Opel Astra-e and Peugeot e-308 are a bit disappointing
If those numbers are correct, then the specs of the Astra-e and e-308 are disappointing. They are inferior to those of the Cupra Born, Renault Megane E-Tech Electric and Volkswagen ID.3 Pro, all of which should reach between 425 and 450 kilometers on a fully charged battery.
Astra Sports Tourer and 308 SW with up to 1634 liters
Quite unique is of course that Opel and Peugeot are coming with an electric station wagon. As mentioned, there aren’t many of them. The Astra Sports Tourer and 308 SW are almost completely the same under the skin. They offer a luggage space of 608 – 1634 liters and are 25 centimeters longer than the hatchbacks on which they are based.
