Liverpool seems to be one of the big Premier League clubs who are busy approaching the end of the January 2022 transfer market. The Anfield-based club is said to be soon bringing in Luis Diaz from Porto. The signing of the Colombian player is estimated to cost the Reds a whopping 45 million euros (could increase to 60 million euros).
This recruitment can also have an impact on the players in Jurgen Klopp’s squad. The futures of Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi as back-up players are in the spotlight. One or even both players can leave towards the end of the 2022 winter transfer window.
According to a report from The Athletic, Liverpool are ready to consider offers for Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi. Both players are not without fans from several Premier League teams who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of an important period in the second half of the 2021/22 season.
Minamino has interest from Leeds United and AS Monaco (Ligue 1). The player from Japan received a valuation of 20 million pounds from Liverpool. So far this season, Minamino has made just six starts in all competitions his team has competed in.
Meanwhile Origi, who is recovering from a knee injury, is gaining interest from Newcastle United and Atalanta (Serie A). Origi’s contract will expire at the end of this season. But there is a clause in the Belgian -born player’s contract that can be activated when it reaches the agreed number of matches.
