After a period of adjustment to understand the projects in place and follow the immediate emergencies, the city administration intends to start the points of the electoral program starting from the meetings in the neighborhoods and the shared working tables.
Savona – Twelve points started and that will take shape in the coming weeks, starting with the meetings in the neighborhoods already scheduled for the 7th and 11th February, for the relaunch of the city with the Re-start Savona path. From welfare to social, sport, culture, development, urban regeneration and neighborhoods. These are some of the issues dealt with in the press conference on Wednesday 26 January by the mayor Marco Russo together with the councilors of the Savona administration.
“After the first months of the mandate, which served to take measures with the current administrative issues, in the first weeks of the new year the junta and the advisers of the majority have prepared the real start of the new administration – explained the first Russian citizen – From here we start with a journey that involves the council, the council and the city, because we have always said that the relaunch of Savona must be seen as a path that develops over time “.
A tangible first step is the restart of meetings in the neighborhoods. Some of these already scheduled in agreement with a group of citizens and which, in the intentions of the administration, will play the role of involvement to open the meetings to all: the first will take place in Montemoro on Monday 7 February, the second on Friday 11 February in Legino, to continue with the inhabitants of Lavagnola, Zinola and all the districts and hamlets of the city. “It will not be simple meetings to listen only to citizens but also to actively involve them in the future of their neighborhoods – explained Marco Russo – starting from shared projects to enhance the characteristics of those places and their livability”.
All this linked to the various areas presented in the electoral program and in the agenda of the Pact: “The name, Re-Start Savona – explained the mayor – is a call to the city to move to start again. We will begin by addressing the issues that on the one hand are able to involve the various areas of the city and on the other touch the fundamental points of the relaunch. For each of these we will open a path in which the council brings its medium and short-term objectives ».
The twelve points
The neighborhoods with the start of the meetings. Urban regeneration divided into three areas, expanding and bringing back the Pnrr projects to bring them back to planning that is coherent with the administration’s projects; take stock of strategic areas by opening a discussion with the city; prepare a territorial development plan and a civil protection pilot project with the Cima Foundation. The culture. In this context, asexors are working to meet the various associations: “Unfortunately, the pandemic has delayed the meetings and above all does not allow us to gather all the realities together – explained Nicoletta Negro, councilor for culture – but we are working to create a map and insert the associations in the training-production-social impact chain and better organize the local realities, giving way to the creation of the theatrical center, which will also include music and the museum center “.
Involving the third sector in the welfare plan starting from some themes: accessibility, poverty, the elderly, minors, housing, immigration, also taking into account how much the pandemic has changed the social fabric and exacerbated inequalities.
Commerce, setting up a town control room to share support and development policies and create a regulation of commercial events shared with the neighborhoods.
Launch the Pact for the School to tie schools to the city, also with the launch of the youth project and its sharing tools such as the youth table. Develop the school building plan that allows for an overall picture and a road map, identifying the measures and tools to implement it.
Create a table on health issues that has three purposes: to strengthen the San Paolo and give citizens answers on the source of emergencies and urgencies; to create the Community House in the city; develop a territorial socio-health network.
Establish a development table starting from three actions: formalize a strategic agreement with the campus; strengthen the territorial table for the port; start a table to share funding and calls for proposals from the NRP.
Reactivate the sports consultancy and renew it in its organization to make it efficient: prepare a maintenance plan; define a plant management model to rationalize use; sharing the objectives of the NRP on gyms and sports facilities
Prepare a mapping of areas of degradation or hardship, those that arouse insecurity in citizens. Organize on-site initiatives with citizens and traders to define the relaunch and redevelopment actions. Establish a maintenance team, a working group, which will be evaluated in the coming weeks, between the internal forces and the subsidiaries of the administration in order to create an urban maintenance plan that does not stop at citizens’ reports only.
Start a participatory process for the drafting of the Pums, starting from the protocol signed by the previous administration to create the Pums in the shortest possible time, essential for accessing calls for sustainable mobility.
Prepare the regulation of common goods by opening a comparison with the most virtuous experiences of other cities. In this perspective it is necessary to carry out a mapping of the ‘active’ subjects and the assets to be valued.
