BERGAMO – From January 21, the new single by Stefano Ardenghi from “La Consapevolezza”, already digitally, is on the radio “Maybe it’s not enough anymore”. A classic songwriting ballad with a long orchestral crescendo at the end. The piece is a sort of warning to try to allow a real collective awareness that can make that “encrypted” future re-emerge, visible only to a few; a future that is denied in some ways and that, for some, is already behind us. The hope, however, that emerges in numerous single “dumb consciences”, is the engine of this country which, despite everything, resists, daily resilient … but will it be enough by itself to change things?
“I think that this song – says Stefano Ardenghi – written in unsuspecting times, best represents the period we are living through. The pandemic has emphasized certain concepts expressed in the text that describe the situation of a nation, which has long been deficient on important issues, has long been divided over everything, made up of individuals. However, “Maybe it’s not enough anymore”, is a song of resistance and hope, confident of the people who populate the country and who carry on, daily and silently, their personal and non-personal battles, with respect for all ”.
In the video, in order to avoid easy populist exploitation, we wanted to emphasize some of these “dumb consciences” who struggle and find trust in their encounter, recreating a sharing: a reciprocity that becomes a connection as necessary as ever in the latter. years.
Andrea Dipa, the director, explains: “Three apparently distant existences that intersect, all with a personal battle to fight. An entrepreneur who lost his wife to Covid-19, a woman distant from his father and a boy looking for a decent job: three resilient paths that “the game of life” will find a way to bring together for a new beginning “.
