In recent months we have had several rumors about Apple’s supposed plans to launch a video game console. According to the details, the company is interested in the success of Switch, so it would work on a hybrid system.
At the time of this writing, Apple has neither confirmed nor denied the reports, so the possible project remains a mystery and topic of discussion. Jez Corden, editor of Windows Central, joined the conversation, as he stated that he has also heard about the company’s plans to enter the console market.
The interesting thing is that the informant assured that Apple is behind several Xbox engineers to make this rumored project come true, about which very little is known.

Will Apple make a console with the help of Xbox engineers?
Due to its position in the technology industry, it would not be unusual to know that Apple wants to go one step further in video games and take a piece of the cake. Corden briefly spoke about this during The Xbox Two podcast.
He revealed that for some time he has heard information about Apple’s plans to supposedly make a console. He also commented that the company would be behind several Xbox engineers to make it a reality.
“I’ve heard for a while that Apple has been hunting for Xbox engineers to build their own console. I’ve heard that for a long time, that Apple was exploring making a video game console. And I don’t know if it’s going to be something about virtual reality, a metaverse thing or something,” Corden said.
He accepted that he does not know for sure if this information is true, since he does not have as many details as he would like or convincing evidence to affirm that the project is underway as such. In fact, he stated that he does not know if this plan is still standing or has already been discarded.
“I don’t know if that will come to fruition, I don’t know if they’ve already canceled it, because Apple explores a lot of things… I don’t have an incredible source on this, I don’t have documents, I don’t have photographs, but it’s something I heard” , the editor concluded.
It was previously mentioned that Apple is not only working on a console, but also collaborates with development studios to create games that compete with prominent Nintendo titles. On the other hand, it is mentioned that the console would be a premium product, so it would be sold for a price that would range between $449 and $549 USD.
