Ancelotti provides Hazard update
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that Eden Hazard is a part of his plans for the 2022/23 season despite speculation over his future.
The former Chelsea man has struggled since making the switch in 2019, and has missed 65 games through a myriad of injuries. However, Ancelotti has confirmed that the Belgian will play a role for Los Blancos next season. “Hazard is in our plans for the next season, I can confirm,” he said.
Eriksen set for Brentford move
Christian Eriksen is set to return to football and the Premier League with Brentford keen on snapping up the former Tottenham man.
According to the Mirror, the Dane needs to pass a medical with the Bees, following which his move will be confirmed in 72 hours. Eriksen has been out of action since suffering a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020.
Atletico target Chelsea’s Alonso
Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso, according to Mark.
Alonso has been a regular for the Blues in the absence of Ben Chilwell, and is unlikely to leave the club this month. However, Diego Simeone wants the 31-year-old to provide extra cover at left-back and could try to bring him to Spain in the summer.
