Absent for several days. Mentana returned to running his newspaper, explaining the reason for his “disappearance”
For days the Tg La7 had registered the most important absence, that of his top conductor: Enrico Mentana. But after his inexplicable “disappearance”, the most famous and talked about conductor is back, explaining the reasons for his absence from the television screens.

The same journalist had let viewers know that Mentana could not be present in the studio because of the normative anti-covid, not adding any other information. Precisely for this reason, many had hypothesized that the absence of Mentana could be more than just prevention.
One of the hypotheses that had come a long way is the fact that Mentana had entered in contact with a positive, however it was later found that the positive was he. The first to reveal it were the journalists of Dagospia, confirmation which then came from Mentana himself through a post published on Facebook.
In the post, Enrico Mentana admits to having had Covid and says he preferred to remain silent, without confirming or denying the news. In the post he announces that he is healed and that, finally negative, is ready to return to present Tg La7.
His return to management took place during theThursday edition, after 10 days of absence. In fact, when he returned negative, the journalist was able to return to TV and to his beloved work. “After talking about it for two years – said a happy Mentana – I too, like millions of Italians, have contracted Covid”.
