Ashleigh Barty has convincingly qualified for the fourth round of the Australian Open. The Australian number 1 in the world was 6-2 6-3 too strong for the Italian Camila Giorgi.
The 25-year-old Barty, who finished it off with a love game, has not lost a single service game in her first three duels in Melbourne. She’s only given up eight games.
Barty had enough in 61 minutes to get rid of the global number 33. In her first two games, Barty was ready within an hour.
In the next round, Barty will face Japan’s Naomi Osaka or American Amanda Anisimova.
