The trade unions CNV and FNV approved the new terms of employment for Achmea’s approximately 12,000 employees. According to Achmea, the collective labor agreement is therefore final. Union De Unie did not agree.
In addition to the climate budget, Achmea staff will receive a 3 percent increase in wages as of 1 January this year. Next year there will be a wage increase of 1 percent. Employees will also receive a one-off payment of 750 euros gross in 1 January next year. And there will be an unlimited training budget.
How staff can spend the climate budget has yet to be worked out.
“You can think of insulating your own home, an energy-efficient washing machine or purchasing a bicycle that you use to get to work,” explains a spokesperson. “If you really don’t know how to spend it, it can also be put into a green investment fund at the end of the period.”
The staff will have three years to find a good destination for the amount.
In the coming period, Achmea will further develop the regulation for the climate budget and the unlimited training budget together with the trade unions. The new collective labor agreement has a term of 2 years until December 2023. At Achmea, a full-time working week consists of 34 hours.
