Sead Kolasinac’s transfer is perfect. The 28-year-old ex-Schalke player leaves Arsenal and joins Olympique Marseille. The left-back has signed a contract with the traditional French club for a year and a half until the summer of 2023. There is no transfer fee.
Kolasinac joined the Gunners on a free transfer from Schalke in 2017 but failed to make a lasting impact in the Premier League. Last season he returned to S04 on loan in the second half of the season, but was unable to prevent the Knappen from being relegated.
At Arsenal, Kolasinac was further out on the return. He has only made two appearances in the Premier League this season and has not been in the squad since early November. In Ligue 1, the 28-year-old now wants to start a new attempt.
OM will not pay a fee for the left foot and will give him a contract until 2023. Kolasinac made 118 competitive appearances for Arsenal (five goals, 15 assists).
