The French company has announced an upcoming meeting with Novak. The Australian Tennis Federation also speaks: “We respect the decision of the Minister and the Federal Court”
The image of Novak Djokovic could suffer repercussions, after the well-known events of the expulsion from Australia. In addition to the opinions of fans (and not only), there are other subjects who could raise their finger in the near future, beating the Serbian for their off-court behavior. Among these the sponsors play a leading role and one of them has already moved: Lacoste has made it clear that it wants to thoroughly analyze what happened to the number 1 in the world in recent weeks. “As soon as possible, we will get in touch with Novak Djokovic to retrace the events that accompanied his presence in Australia”.
Tennis australia too
Concise statement, a few words that however make it clear that something is moving. After days of silence – in which prudence and the desire to analyze events coldly prevailed -, the subjects directly involved begin to expose themselves on the subject. Tennis Australia itself issued a statement on the night: “We recognize that recent events have been a significant distraction for all and deeply regret the impact this has had on all players. We respect the decision of the Minister and the Federal Court ”. Could Lacoste’s intervention cause others to cascade? We must also consider the risk of exclusion from Roland Garros: how would the sponsors take it?
