A week ago, Konami announced its entry into the growing world of the NFT economy with a collection called the “Konami Memorial NFT Collection” where 14 items created to celebrate the 35th anniversary of its popular Castlevania series were auctioned off. The NFTs included game clips from the franchise, virtual billboards, and virtual maps.
The auction was held on-site at OpenSea and was a success as items first sold out around 3am EST and Konami raked in more than $160,000 in sales.

Overall, NFTs sold for an average of $12,000, with the highest value purchases being a 3-minute clip of various Castlevania games auctioned off for $17,518 and a digital map of Dracula’s Castle from the original Castlevania auctioned off for $26,000.


Also, as a reminder for this NFT auction, Konami will add the nicknames of those who purchased items on its NFT website for ten months.
