After Kevin Vogt, Ihlas Bebou and Oliver Baumann, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has wrapped up the next contract extension: Georginio Rutter has committed himself to the Kraichgauer until 2026.
Rutter has played in all 18 Bundesliga games this season. The 19-year-old did not only impress with good performances, but also with eight points (four goals and four assists).
“Georgi had a breathtaking development with us last year. He is one of the most promising talents in European football, whose further development the move to Hoffenheim gave a big boost,” said TSG manager Alexander Rosen, pleased about his protégé’s progress.
And further: “Despite his young age, he already has an incredible combination of athleticism, technique, speed and goal threat. His flawless character and his engaging nature not only accelerated the integration into our squad, but also made it in a very short time a fan favorite.”
Rutter said that so far everything “that I dreamed of from this change” has come true. The 19-year-old, who joined TSG from Stade Rennes last winter, explained that he was “greatly received here” and is “encouraged in every way”.
His conclusion: “Hoffenheim is the perfect club for young players like me.”
