Returning to playing with Diego Simeone’s team, Griezmann was actually always a mainstay in filling the attacking sector, before he now had to enter the treatment room due to a muscle injury.
Promising performances by collecting eight goals from 22 matches, apparently made this French passport player, to give a signal that he was not interested in returning to Barcelona and hoped Atleti would want to make him permanent.
“I want to play with Cholo (Diego Simeone) again at Atletico. I enjoy playing here and hope to continue,” Griezmann said as quoted by Football Espana.
“I hope Atletico love me, as long as I can continue at the level they demand and we can write another beautiful story.”
To make Griezmann a permanent player, Los Rojiblancos only need to spend 40 million euros.
