Niantic is constantly improving the title through updates. Precisely the most recent one is giving something to talk about, since the dataminers as soon as they had access to it, they made interesting discoveries about in-game advertising.
We know this thanks to the dataminer group PokeMiners, who shared that in version 0.227.0 assets or visual resources of the new Google Ad Library were found, which could show that Niantic (a Google subsidiary) has plans to incorporate commercial advertisements in the game.

Fans are angered by the possible arrival of ads to Pokémon GO
