BRUSSELS, 07 JAN – “For weeks Russia has not taken any steps towards de-escalation, the massing of troops” on the Ukrainian border “continues. The risk of a conflict is real ”. This was stated by NATO secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, at a press conference after the extraordinary meeting of the Alliance’s foreign ministers. “Next week”, with the NATO-Russia Council, “Moscow has the opportunity” to demonstrate “if it seriously wants to take the path of dialogue and diplomacy”.
