The winter transfer window has opened and two North London clubs, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, are allegedly looking for new ammunition to help the team achieve its goals at the end of the season. The target fell to the Brighton & Hove Albion players.
As reported by Marca, Arsenal and Tottenham are eyeing Brighton’s 21-year-old right-back Tariq Lamptey. He has played 13 times this season in all competitions with one assist.

His decision to leave Chelsea in 2020 was the right one as Lamptey has played a lot at Brighton, although he has recently been recovering from a hamstring injury. Lamptey is famous for his speed when combing the flanks.
Tottenham need new ammunition so that Antonio Conte’s team is ready to compete with other teams. Allegedly they don’t mind selling Matt Doherty so they can recruit Lamptey as Emerson Royal’s competitor.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, even though they have Takehiro Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares as right-backs, need a new player in that position because Tomiyasu can become a central defender. Reportedly Brighton did not sell Lamptey for less than £50 million.
