
MILAN, 22 DEC – The ratio between market capitalization and GDP is growing, returning to the pre-pandemic level. Equity investments increase, while the volume of government bonds decreases. The number of listed companies is increasing and the profitability of companies is clearly improving. They are contained in the latest Consob statistical bulletin. Thanks to the sharp increase in share prices, the total capitalization of Italian companies listed on the stock exchange, as of June 30th, leaps forward by 19.9% on an annual basis, while in relation to GDP the capitalization of Piazza Affari rises to 34. , 8% from 32% at the end of June 2020.
